In the summer of 2023 we finally decided to go to the UK, chasing waterfalls. The weeks before it rained much and the weather forecast wasn't that good.

It has a height of 9m, and its name means something like 'fall of the white meadow'. Even though it was July, the amount of rainfall made the drop and the water look even scarier.

Waterfall Country (or sometimes Waterfalls Country) is an English name often given to the Vale of Neath in South Wales. The tourist area around the head of the valley has an unusually large number of publicly accessible waterfalls.

Sgwd Clun Gwyn From the Gwaun Hepste carpark, the walk is due south along a forest track, passing a small quarry and two junctions with unsignposted tracks to the east, and reaching a third junction after 1.2 miles, as the land starts to descend, at the start of the loop section.

About Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn is a waterfall located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales, United Kingdom. The name "Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn" is Welsh for "lower fall of the white meadow", and it is also known as the Lower Clun-gwyn waterfall. The waterfall is situated on the River Mellte and is approximately 20 meters in height.

Located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales the waterfall Sgwd Clun Gwyn (Fall of the White Meadow) can be found on the challenging 5.5mile Four Falls Trail. The River Mellte crashes about 40ft over two ledges. At times of high water this fall can extened all the way across the ledge and is a popular spot for Canyoning. July 23.

As you approach Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, listen out for the thundering roar of the falls before you reach them. The Elidir trail (Sgwd Gwladus Waterfall) Distance - 1.3 miles to Sgwd Gwladus, 1.2 miles to Pont Melin-Fach. Grade - Very moderate, then moderate. Starting point - Pontneddfechan Village (or Pont Melin-Fach car park, to walk the trail in reverse)

Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn - one of the main waterfalls on the Brecon Beacons Four Falls Trail However, the Brecon Beacons Four Waterfalls Walk turned out to be quite the adventure and photo run. In fact, the nice photo you see above was just scratching the surface of what I was able to experience.

The Four Waterfalls Walk is a trail that encompasses four beautiful waterfalls in Ystradfellte which forms part of an area in the Brecon Beacons known as waterfall county. This is one of the best areas to find waterfalls in Wales with more per square mile than anywhere else in the UK.

This Highlight is in a protected area. The first waterfall most hikers encounter when exploring 'Waterfall Country' in the Brecon Beacons is Sgwd Uchaf Clun-Gwyn, meaning 'upper fall of the white meadow'. Comprising two sets of falls, a few hundred metres apart, the upper falls are the highest and thunder dramatically into the River Mellte.

The four waterfalls on the 4 falls walk are Sgwd Clun-Gwyn, Sgwd y Pannwr, Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn and Sgwd yr Eira. The main path is well made, easy to navigate and fairly flat. However, the linking trails that provide access to the waterfalls are steep, muddy and often slippery, especially in winter months.
